Syrrako
Syrrako is historic village of Epirus. It is located 52 km southeast of Ioannina, in Mount Peristeri, at an altitude of 1200m. It is built on steep canyon rim and is an example of traditional architecture. Numerous natural and artificial monuments are scattered throughout its length. It is the home to prominent men (benefactors, politicians, captains) and many others who excelled in fields such as literature, arts, politics, trade, farming. Among them, the poet and writer Kostas Kristalis, and the first constitutional prime minister of Greece, Ioannis Kolettis.
